We are facing an issue (possible lawsuit) regarding this issue. An official was assigned a game, never accepted the assignment, however got an email indicating he has games coming up. Being the games were not accepted, we replaced him with another official. Now, both officials (the one that did not accept and the one that accepted) showed up to the field and officiated the match and are seeking payment.
Why did Arbiter send an email to an official reminding them of their upcoming assignment if they never accepted the game? Game reminders should ONLY be going to officials that have accepted assignments.
I am fairly confident that I selected the box to email the official when I removed him from the game, however he states this notice was never received.
