April 9, 2015 (v29.1)

This release adds 16 new features and fixes 10 issues across 3 products.  Highlights include:

  • Finished the viable version of Event Workers.
  • Expanded coverage of internal APIs to speed development and enhance test coverage.
  • Corrected errors in Canadian sales tax collection.

ArbiterOne

New Features

  • Added a Provincial Sales Tax line item for the provinces of British Columbia and Saskatchewan. This ensures that the correct taxes are collected on purchases of Arbiter services.
  • Modified the currency label for all invoices to be USD, instead of just the dollar sign, “$”.
  • Modified the view of any ArbiterPay account number inside of ArbiterOne to only show the last four digits of the number. The intent was to make the account more secure.
  • Built an internal API for contacts, which will enhance the ability to change any page that touches contacts.
  • Built an internal API for Slots.
  • Update the internal API for Finance data.
  • Applied new Finance API to new Admin page for creating and sending Estimates and Invoices.
  • Deprecated the Concurrent User Tracking page. This page was built to allow System Admins to eject sessions that were using large amounts of bandwidth and/or server resources. This function was very heavy on resources itself and is no longer needed. We should see a performance gain from its removal.
  • Enhanced the ability to track email sent to end users. We can now see the sender and the recipient for all emails sent through Arbiter products.
  • Added the ability to track all password changes.

Defect or Bug

  • As an ArbiterOne Admin, when accepting a game change from ArbiterGame the application was throwing an error which prevented the Game Change email from being sent to Contacts. This issue has been corrected.
  • Corrected an error that intermittently threw an application error when removing blocks in mass.

ArbiterGame

New Features

  • Added slots for event workers, so that they can be scheduled correctly for all games.
  • Added a Game Change email for Event Workers.
  • Added the ability to set up Event Worker defaults associated with a team.
  • Added the ability to automatically link Event Worker account to ArbiterPay accounts. This feature is dependent on tonight’s ArbiterPay release.

Defect or Bug

  • As an ArbiterGame user, when I change who is responsible for assigning the officials to the game, all event workers are removed. This error has been corrected.
  • When changing the status of a game, the new status of the game was not being reflected in the Game Change email. This has been fixed.
  • Corrected an issues that prevented games from being deleted if an Event Worker was assigned.
  • If you select a date for a practice that does not exist, like 2/31/2015 (February does not have 31 days), an error is given that makes it seem like the application has a problem. This has been changed to display to the customer that the date is the problem and needs to be fixed.

ArbiterPay

New Features

  • Added the ArbiterPay side of auto-linking of accounts for Event Workers with ArbiterOne accounts.

Defect or Bug

  • Updated the way that we store currency in the database when the Auto Charge Debit Card fee is being posted.
  • Changed the Account Type field to be required when entering bank account information.
