New Game Email, But No Games to Accept/Decline

Occasionally an official will write us about an email they received indicating they had a new game, but when the official signs in, there are no games to accept or decline.  There are a few scenarios that may lead to this.  Because an email is sent at the time the assignment is published, any changes afterwards may appear as though there are no new games. (NOTE: This article does not explain where to find your assignments.)

  1. The assigner released the game and then changed the assignment.  Typically the assigner opts to send a follow up email about the unassignment, but not always.
  2. The assigner prematurely released the games.  In this scenario, the assigner releases the games, realizes that they want to make a few more adjustments to the schedule, and removes the published (viewable by official) status from the assignment.
  3. The assigner uses our auto-accept feature.  This feature automatically accepts games for the official once the official views the schedule.  Though this is available, most clients do not use it.
  4. The assignment was marked as accepted.  If an assigner has previously discussed a game with an official, they can mark the game as accepted.  In this case, an email is sent to the official but the game cannot be accepted or declined.

    I can NOT accept or decline games on my calendar. Assigned games appear on my calendar but there is no way to accept or decline. Please advise.

    Jim -- That would be due to either item 3 or 4 above. The assigner is either marking the game as accepted or uses the auto-accept feature. You will want to check with them.

    I have a new game email, my assigner says they are published, I still cannot see them. I clicked "show all", still nothing.

    I can NOTaccept the game,I just can decline and when I touch the decline I see my game shedule but all ready decline,please advise

    I have assigned games (can see in my Schedule), but no Accept/Decline buttons (only 'Exit'). Under Status, it is showing "Notified".
    I have had my scheduler cancel and re-enter the games, so I do not believe the problem is on her end. No change to what I can see on my end.
    Please advise.

    @Manojlovic,

    You should check to make sure that you don't have any other games to accept that overlap with the assignment in question. In this case, you cannot accept a new game until you have resolved any conflicts with other games (travel time, overlapping time requirements, etc.).

    @Jake,

    Make sure that you are viewing the games in "List View" instead of "View by Day, Week, or Month." The calendar views do not have the accept/decline buttons.
