Subscribing and Configuring ArbiterMobile

ArbiterMobile is the mobile version of our popular assigning application and is designed especially for busy, mobile officials.

ArbiterMobile includes:

  • Mobile App (iOS and Android) -  Get last minute assignments and accept them from anywhere through your smart phone. See game schedules and site addresses, view and accept games, and even find phone numbers and addresses of your contacts, partners and assigners - all from your mobile device.
  • iCal - Integrate your personal calendar with your officiating schedule.  iCal allows you to sync your ArbiterSports' calendar into your calendar of choice.
  • Text Messages - Never waste time showing up for a game that was moved or cancelled at the last minute. With ArbiterMobile, you can receive instant notification of game changes and new assignments right when you need them via text messaging on your mobile device (standard messaging rates apply). Impress your assigner by being the first to accept assignments.
  • Multiple Email Addresses - Now parents can easily keep informed on the child's game assignments because ArbiterMobile allows you to have notifications sent simultaneously to multiple email addresses. Keep up to date by enabling messages to be sent to your work and personal email inboxes at the same time.

To Sign Up for ArbiterMobile:

  1. Log in to your ArbiterSports account
  2. Select your Mobile tab
  3. Click "Start Your Free 14-Day Trial"

To Renew your ArbiterMobile Account:

  1. Please log in to your ArbiterSports account
  2. Select the Mobile tab
  3. Click "Renew Your ArbiterMobile Upgrade"

Adding Phone Numbers/Texting to your ArbiterMobile Account:

  1. Please log in to your ArbiterSports account
  2. Select your Mobile tab
  3. Under Phone Numbers, click on the green plus sign
  4. Add a phone number, type, carrier, indicate if you want it to be public, send a test text by clicking on the phone icon.
  5. Click save and you have a new phone number saved to your profile, you can add several phone numbers to make sure you always get your information.

Adding Type of Alerts you want to Receive:

  1. Please log in to your ArbiterSports account
  2. Select the Mobile tab
  3. Locate Alerts (the second box of options on the page)
  4. Indicate which alerts you want to receive from Game Reminders to Event Reminders
  5. Select Save and you have saved those settings

Adding Email Addresses to your Mobile Account:

  1. Please log in to your ArbiterSports account
  2. Select the Mobile tab
  3. Locate Email Addresses box (the last box of options on the page)
  4. Click on the green plus sign to add an email address
  5. Click save and you have a new email address that will get notifications according to your Alerts you set up in previous steps

    I'd be very interested in this solution if it provided one necessary feature which Arbiter doesn't currently provide - syncing with Google calendar.

    I agree that the Arbiter should have the ability to sync with Google calendar as Horizon Web Ref currently does. Most of the officials I know use Google calendar and having assignments synced to it would be a definite plus.

    David - I'd recommend downloading the app to your phone. It has all of your officials and their contact information.

    @Nathan, I have same question as David McCutcheon. Exporting calendar and manually importing it into my calendar contains partner and AD phone numbers. However, iCal feed does not. I have the Arbiter app but frankly I am not a huge fan. I prefer to use the full/web version even on my phone. Including contact phone numbers in the calendar feed would seem to be a no-brainer.

    Nathan, I started to do a quick comparison between full and mobile and to my surprise I think I realized my preference is probably just resistance to change. I have a strong comfort level with full version. My busy season of schedule management is about to begin. I'll try to use mobile version more and will update here if I can remember why I favored full version.

    One small thing that bugs me with the mobile version is calendar week starting on Monday. I looked for setting to change to Sunday but could not find one. As unreasonable as it may sound, that could be the reason I favor the full version.

    I have somehow been on this feed for a couple of years and saw the note to someone to ask what features you would like in the mobile. I would very much like to have the ability to enter the game store and no in mobile rather than having to switch over to the full version.

    Also, similar to other system, I would like to you Millatti to press the link that would either email or text all the specials on the cruise… Very helpful before the game or if there are changes in either time or location

    Edward - I'd love to get your feedback. We are always looking for new ways to improved. Are you using the mobile app or the mobile version of the app through a browser?

    We will be releasing payment management (transfers, transaction details, etc) in the next couple weeks. In the next couple months we will be adding notifications.

    Nathan, I was using mobile via browser. I just downloaded the app which shows week starting with Sunday so that's good. I'll try to use the app if that's where enhancements are going.

    Things I see at first glance:
    1. There is no color distinction for assigned games on schedule calendar view. Dates with games appear gray same as a blocked day. I would expect game days to be blue, blocks in red, etc.
    2. I like the game details in the app, but like Kevin Anderson, would like the ability to email officiating crew in one email.
    3. Would also like to see site contact info in game details, home coach, AD, or whoever the team chooses to include. These are included in full version on (home) Team Details.

    Thank you for the feedback. I'd recommend clicking the Add Post option at the top right of this page and add each of your suggestions separately. You can also use the link I posted previously to vote for contacting your entire crew.

    My ArbiterMobile app is locked at the sign in saying "object reference not set to an instance of an object" what the heck am I supposed to do? I already uninstalled and reinstalled the app no change, help!
